Nedbank is planning to do just that for its senior clients: walk the talk. Last year we introduced pre-retirement workshops to help our clients navigate one of life’s key milestones – retirement.
Just as you would not undertake any journey without planning, seeking advice and evaluating obstacles, we would like you to be prepared for this part of your life journey.
‘Our clients matter to us and we want to ensure that they have enough information and skills to plan a happy retirement,’ says Hanlie Stoop, Nedbank’s Senior-Client Manager. Nedbank also hosts events countrywide to thank those clients who have banked with us for more than 30 years. ‘A traditional 30th wedding anniversary gift would be a pearl, and these clients are indeed the pearls of our bank,’ says Hanlie.
‘We will therefore be increasing these loyalty events at well-appointed venues, where our clients are made to feel special,’ says Hanlie. Some of last year’s venues included Spier Estate and the Vineyard Hotel in the Western Cape.
‘We will also be sending clients thank you cards and SMSs for banking with us for an extended period,’ says Hanlie.

40 years with a bank? That takes real stamina! But it is neat to see a bank recognising long service ( and sometimes long suffering ) clients.
Well done to Nedbank!! It is much more than my bank has ever done!! I have definitely seen progression and a more caring attitude from Nedbank over the years. May have thought of switching if it wasn’t such a drama with debit orders.
Glad to see that some people got something for banking with Nedbank over an extended period. I must have been a bad boy as no such recognition has come my way after 40yrs of banking with them!! Can’t win them all!!
