Don’t you just wish banks would stop talking and start doing? Take a look at what Nedbank is doing to Communicate with, Advise, Reward and Entertain you. In short, CARE.

Nedbank cares

Don’t tell me you care, show me! We’ve all had these conversations with our partners or friends at some time in our lives. We want less talk and more walk.

Nedbank is planning to do just that for its senior clients: walk the talk. Last year we introduced pre-retirement workshops to help our clients navigate one of life’s key milestones – retirement.

Just as you would not undertake any journey without planning, seeking advice and evaluating obstacles, we would like you to be prepared for this part of your life journey.

‘Our clients matter to us and we want to ensure that they have enough information and skills to plan a happy retirement,’ says Hanlie Stoop, Nedbank’s Senior-Client Manager. Planning is key to doing the things you have always wanted to do when you retire and these pre-retirement workshops embrace your life beyond the facts and figures. You can expect great information on health, relationships, creativity as well as financial well-being.

‘We have decided to build on the very successful workshops we held last year by offering them more often and at more venues this year,’ says Hanlie.

Clients who attended last year’s workshops had this to say:

  • ‘A lovely function and we thoroughly enjoyed it.’
  • ‘We feel honoured to have been invited to a workshop that will assist us in preparing for a better future.’
  • ‘We are proud to be Nedbank clients.’
  • ‘Our friends are envious because no other bank has done this and they say they are amazed and that we must be VIP clients to get invited to workshops such as these.’
  • ‘It felt like a family event, not a banking event.’

If you are a Nedbank client, you and your partner will soon be getting an invitation to one of these events.

Thank You!

Nedbank also hosts events countrywide to thank those clients who have banked with us for more than 30 years. ‘A traditional 30th wedding anniversary gift would be a pearl, and these clients are indeed the pearls of our bank,’ says Hanlie.

‘We will therefore be increasing these loyalty events at well-appointed venues, where our clients are made to feel special,’ says Hanlie. Some of last year’s venues included Spier Estate and the Vineyard Hotel in the Western Cape.

‘We will also be sending clients thank you cards and SMSs for banking with us for an extended period,’ says Hanlie.

When care and consideration are combined with tailormade financial solutions you have an optimum partnership with your bank. Indeed, one of Nedbank’s transactional and investment products tailored to the needs of senior clients is called Optimum.
