Issue 32: December 2013

We knew that the day would come and we were prepared. But the death of Madiba still cuts to the core of one’s inner being. Each and every anecdote and tribute that has poured in from our fellow countrymen and from every corner of the globe for the great man pulls at the heartstrings and finds one reaching for the tissues yet again. But oh we must be proud that we lived in the same country as this legend, this icon. So proud. We hear the memories of Conrad Burke, a retired political reporter who spent many many hours in the company of the one and only Madiba.
